India Post, Department of Posts has released the official notification for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Online Engagement Schedule-II, July-2026 vide Notification No. 17-12/2026-GDS dated 20 August 2026.

The engagement is for Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Dak Sevak posts in different postal circles/divisions.

Eligible candidates can complete One-Time Registration from 31 August 2026 to 19 September 2026 and submit the online application form from 02 September 2026 to 21 September 2026 through the official India Post GDS portal.

Candidates should carefully read the complete notification and ensure that all details entered in the application match their Class 10th/Matriculation certificate.

Important Dates

The notification specifically provides a two-day correction/editing window after the application closing date.

Application Fee

Payment Mode: Online through available Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or UPI facilities.

The ₹100 fee is applicable for applicants who are not covered under the fee-exemption categories. Once paid, the fee is non-refundable.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 40 Years
• Age Limit As On: Last date of submission of online application, i.e. 21 September 2026

Age Relaxation

The notification states that age will be determined as on the last date of submission of applications.
