Important Dates

For the completed July 2026 examination cycle:

For the upcoming November 2026 cycle, keep it as an update rather than mixing it with the completed answer-key information.

3. Age Criteria

Age Limit

No specific minimum or maximum age limit is prescribed for appearing in HTET in the provided Information Bulletin.

Age Limit: No Age Limit for appearing in HTET.

⚠️ Do not write “18–38 years” or similar recruitment-style age criteria. HTET is an eligibility test, not a direct recruitment examination.

The bulletin separately states that there is no restriction on the number of attempts a candidate can take for acquiring the HTET certificate.

Educational Qualification

The educational qualification depends upon the level selected.

Level 1 – PRT

Primary Teacher – Classes I to V

Candidates should possess the prescribed teacher-training qualification applicable for Primary Teacher eligibility, such as the required Senior Secondary/teacher education qualification specified under the applicable NCTE/State rules.

Level 2 – TGT

Trained Graduate Teacher – Classes VI to VIII

Candidates should possess the prescribed graduation-level qualification along with the required teacher-training qualification applicable for TGT eligibility.

Level 3 – PGT

Post Graduate Teacher – Classes IX to XII

Candidates should possess the prescribed postgraduate qualification in the relevant subject along with the required teacher-training qualification applicable for PGT eligibility.

Important: The uploaded bulletin states that the subjects/qualifications applicable for appointment as a Teacher are to be considered at the time of applying for the teaching post, rather than treating HTET itself as the recruitment appointment.

So for your Answer Key article, I recommend not putting specific percentage/degree combinations unless you have the corresponding official HTET eligibility table/notification available.

Application Fee

The bulletin gives the following fee structure:

These amounts are directly specified in the HTET Information Bulletin.

Answer-Key Objection Fee

For objections against a question/answer key:

₹1,000 per question

The bulletin states that the objection fee is paid online and is normally non-refundable; if the subject expert finds an error in the answer key, the fee for that particular question is refunded within three months from result declaration.

Examination Details

The bulletin confirms the conventional Pen-Paper Based examination mode and 150-minute duration.
