UPPSC Technical Education Teaching Service Examination 2025

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) released the official notification for the U.P. Technical Education (Teaching) Service Examination-2025 through Advertisement No. A-11/E-1/2025 dated 02 December 2025.

The recruitment covers teaching and related posts in Government Polytechnics, Government Leather Institute and Northern Regional Institute of Printing Technology. A total of 513 vacancies were notified. The number of vacancies may be increased or decreased depending on requirements.

Candidates were required to apply online through the UPPSC OTR-based application system. One Time Registration (OTR) was mandatory before submitting the application.

Selection Process

Only candidates declared successful in the written examination are called for the interview. Final selection is based on the marks obtained in the written examination and interview. Original certificates are verified during the interview, and selected candidates are required to undergo medical examination as per applicable rules.

Three times the number of vacancies are called for interview on the basis of the written examination.

Salary / Pay Scale

• Pay Level: Level-9A
• Entry Pay: ₹56,100
• Level-10 Entry Pay: ₹57,700 for applicable direct recruitment posts/qualifications
• Nature of Post: Group-B, Gazetted

The notification specifies Level-9A with an entry pay of ₹56,100 for the service. It also specifies Level-10 direct recruitment qualifications with an entry pay of ₹57,700 for applicable posts.

Paper-I

Paper-II

• Written Examination: 750 Marks
• Interview: 100 Marks
• Total Selection Marks: 850
• Duration: 2 Hours 30 Minutes for each written paper
• Type: Objective
• Negative Marking: 1/3 of the marks assigned to a question for every wrong answer
• Unattempted Question: No penalty

The advertisement's written-examination plan provides 25 General Hindi/General Studies questions carrying 75 marks and 100 subject questions carrying 300 marks in each paper, with 2 hours 30 minutes allotted for each paper.

The notification also states that one-third of the marks assigned to a question is deducted for an incorrect answer; leaving a question blank carries no penalty.
